Campus Safety Alert (2/25/21)

Dear Campus Community,

For your safety and situational awareness, we would like to draw your attention to a recent increase of robberies and assaults occurring in the University City District, including some near our campus in the areas of Clark Park as well as 41st Street and Chester Avenue.

Philadelphia Police and Southwest Detectives are actively investigating and searching for the suspect or suspects involved in these recent incidents. Additionally, USciences Department of Public Safety will be increasing patrols and adjusting deployments along with our University City District Public Safety partners, Penn Police, and Philadelphia Police Department.

USciences Public Safety strongly urges the University community to remain aware of their surroundings and to take necessary safety precautions including ensuring residences and vehicles are locked and walking in groups in well-lit, high-traffic areas.
