Campus Security Update

Dear Campus Community,

In light of the recent robberies in areas near campus, Public Safety has taken the following steps to provide better protection to the campus community.

  • Received a commitment from University City District to have their mobile and bicycle patrols make more frequent drives through the USciences campus area.
  • Received a commitment from the Philadelphia Police to place special attention on our campus area which will also offer additional police presence driving through the campus area in both marked and unmarked patrol vehicles.
  • Public Safety has Contracted with a security firm to provide additional officers to patrol our campus area.

As an update, the Philadelphia Police have informed us that they have arrested the individual responsible for the robbery near Dunkin Donuts.

Please remember that the Walking Escorts are available to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; please take advantage of this service as you travel to and from campus.

Do not hesitate to contact Public Safety at 215.895.1117.
