11/2/2009: H1N1 Vaccination Date November 6, 2009

The Philadelphia Department of Public Health Division of Disease Control (PDPHDDC) has agreed to allocate a limited supply of the H1N1 vaccine to the University.

The vaccine will help facilitate the educational process of students who have direct contact with patients, who are on rotation, or who are scheduled to go on rotation to locations that may require an H1N1 vaccination. Additionally, the PDPHDDC is requesting that all pregnant women be included in the first round of vaccinations.

Students who meet the above criteria established by the PDPHDDC will be notified directly by a representative of their college/program.

If you have been notified that you meet the established criteria or are pregnant, you can attend the first H1N1 vaccination program scheduled for November 6, 2009, in the ARC classroom from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

We anticipate that additional vaccine will become available in the coming weeks for those individuals who fall into the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) defined priority groups. Once we receive the next round of vaccine, additional information and vaccination dates will provided to the University community.
