101/16/12 - Robbery - No Weapon

 
On Friday 11/16/12, at approximately 4:00am the Department of Public Safety received a report of a robbery in the 400 block of South 42nd street. The victim, a USciences student reported that she was at the southwest corner of 42nd & Baltimore Avenue when she was approached by the perpetrator, who then chased her south on 42nd Street, grabbed her from behind and wrestled her to the ground. The student reported that she was not injured.

She reported that he took her purse and cell phone from her, then fled north on 42nd street towards Baltimore Avenue where he entered a vehicle (no description) and fled west. She described the perpetrator as: African-American male, approximately 5ft-6inches tall, stocky build, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt.
